“We are born soft and supple; dead we are stiff and hard. Whoever is stiff and inflexible is a disciple of death. Whoever is soft and yielding is a disciple of life. The hard and stiff will be broken. The soft and supple will prevail.”
– Lao Tzu
Affirmation
Remember that you are like river water. You never stop flowing and you move around obstacles with ease. The continual division of your origin is a welcomed transformation because with each shift, you become more of yourself—pure and wild. Sometimes you’re slow, sometimes you’re raging, sometimes you’re an eddy, circling in confusion, sometimes you’re flooding and causing destruction, but even from the devastation, new and often better can arise. You, the river, are forever changing and no matter your state, you are always a beautiful force to yourself and those around you. Remember that you are like river water.
