The Needle

The needle pierces and breaks the fabric, but yet we see it as repair, not damage.

We often see the “piercing” moments in our lives—the setbacks, mistakes, vulnerability, discomfort—as signs of failure or harm, but like the needle passing through fabric, those moments are not damage… they’re the beginning of repair.

Growth often feels like a rupture before it feels like healing.

The hard conversation that stings? It creates clarity.

The breakdown in confidence? It opens the door to rebuilding truthfully.

The stretch outside your comfort zone? It leaves holes, yes, but also binds you back together in a new shape.

The needle must break through the surface to connect and mend.

So maybe the times we feel broken, pierced, or pulled too tightly are actually the places where we’re being sewn into a stronger, more intricate version of ourselves

This moment is the needle.
It may pierce, but it does not destroy.
It is threading me back to wholeness.
